‘Majembe chukua pesa’ – Malcom advises Majembe to participate in Vurugu 2

US-based TikTok content creator Arnold Malcolm has joined the ongoing discussion about boxer Majembe and the upcoming Vurugu 2 event, urging the fighter to set aside his concerns and accept the offer on the table.
In a video shared on his TikTok account on Sunday, June 14, 2026, Malcom said the opportunity was too good for Majembe to ignore, arguing that the financial reward alone should be enough reason for the boxer to step back into the ring.
Malcom calls for dialogue
The remarks come amid reports of disagreements over contractual terms ahead of the proposed fight. While acknowledging that concerns may exist, Malcom maintained that such issues are common in business and can be resolved through discussion.

According to him, both parties stand to benefit if they reach a mutual understanding and move forward with the event. “Majembe, go back to the fight and take the money. Don’t let that money go. Yes, I know there are problems with the contract. They are usually there. Go and take that money because in the future there is struggling,” he said.
Malcom further noted that the situation should not be viewed as a personal dispute but as a business arrangement where all sides are seeking value from the event.
Concerns over tips
Beyond the contract issue, Malcom also addressed concerns surrounding tips from fans and supporters during the event. He suggested that Majembe should be allowed to receive direct tips from those who wish to support him, instead of relying on systems that may limit access to the money. “Obinna just allow Majembe to be given tips with people. Not that software of tips that’s there. If there are tips let Majembe get his own tip,” he added.
Despite raising the issue, he still insisted that the main focus should be on reaching an agreement and ensuring the fight takes place. Malcom argued that both Majembe and event organiser Obinna are pursuing business interests and should find common ground.

He pointed to the reported fight purse as evidence that the opportunity is worth considering, noting that such figures are rarely seen in local boxing. “People should just sit down and agree. A one-hour fight being paid 500,000, even Kenya Boxing Federation has never given boxers such amount of money,” he stated.
Fresh criticism from Mbavu Destroyer

Malcom’s remarks come shortly after celebrity boxer Mbavu Destroyer launched another attack on Majembe, questioning his willingness to face certain opponents. Mbavu claimed that Majembe appears reluctant to take on Somali Boxer, who has recently challenged him and called for a showdown. “Also, why is he afraid to face the Somali boxer? That proves my point,” said Mbavu.
The outspoken boxer also challenged Majembe to improve his fitness and prepare adequately should they eventually meet in the ring. With Vurugu 2 continuing to generate debate among boxing fans, attention now turns to whether Majembe and the organisers can resolve the outstanding issues.
