Content creator Liz Jackson has opened up about why she is not currently considering marriage or having children, saying both require a level of commitment she does not feel ready to make.

In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Liz said she was not thinking about either marriage or children at the moment.

She explained that her decision is also influenced by how relationships have changed, particularly concerns around infidelity and the expectations that come with marriage.

“Marriage and having children is not something I think about. Well, at least not now. Those two require a lot of commitment, which I don’t believe I have for now,” she said.

Liz also spoke about infidelity, saying she does not consider herself a forgiving person when it comes to cheating. She noted that cheating has become normalised in some relationships, while people have also become less serious about matters that can affect couples.

According to Liz, she would find it difficult to forgive a partner who cheated on her, suggesting that she would instead consider leaving the relationship. “I don’t think I have the heart to forgive. I am not a forgiving person. If you cheat on me, I don’t think I can forgive you,” she said.

She went on to add, in a light-hearted remark, that she could remain in the relationship for some time while planning her exit.

Mimi naeza kumwagilia maji usiku nikikumbuka sina hio roho. I may stay for a while plotting on how to get out, and once I do, you’ll never hear from me again,” Liz added.

Her views on marriage

Liz’s latest remarks come after she previously shared her views on marriage and the roles of men and women in households.

While discussing relationships and the sharing of responsibilities in marriage, she argued that women can sometimes end up carrying a heavier share of household duties.

She previously described marriage as an arrangement that can benefit men through unequal household roles. “Marriage is the only transaction where even the poorest man can get himself a free maid for life,” Liz said.

Her comments have continued to attract discussions across social media, particularly on the expectations placed on women in marriage.

Liz on pregnancy and surrogacy

Liz has also previously spoken about pregnancy and surrogacy, revealing that she would choose surrogacy if given the option between carrying a pregnancy herself and using a surrogate.

She said her position was not intended to dismiss pregnancy, but was linked to her views on fertility and the choices available to women. “If I were given a choice between carrying a pregnancy myself and choosing surrogacy, I would choose surrogacy without hesitation,” she said.

Liz also called for more open conversations about surrogacy in Kenya, saying discussions around the subject should focus more on understanding the option rather than judging women who consider it.
