Geoffrey Mosiria vows to remain committed to serving people despite constant criticism

Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has said he remains committed to serving vulnerable people despite facing constant online criticism, adding that his work is driven by purpose rather than public approval.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Mosiria thanked Kenyans who have continued to support and encourage him, especially for his efforts to rescue abused children, help vulnerable people and respond to different humanitarian cases.
According to Mosiria, the appreciation he receives from ordinary Kenyans motivates him to keep serving even when he faces criticism.
Appreciation from the public keeps him going
The county official said meeting people from different parts of the country who acknowledge his work reminds him why he continues to dedicate his time to helping others.
He noted that serving humanity has always been one of his greatest priorities.
“I am humbled whenever I meet people from across the country who appreciate the work I do, especially rescuing children who are being abused, helping vulnerable people, and serving humanity in many other ways. Your encouragement inspires me to keep working even harder,” Mosiria said.
He added that he believes everyone has a purpose in life and trusts that God is guiding his journey.
‘I also appreciate my critics’
While acknowledging the support he receives, Mosiria also addressed those who frequently criticise him on social media.
Rather than seeing criticism as something negative, he said it has helped him remain focused and reminded him to stay alert.
“To those who always criticise me, I appreciate you too. God has placed you there for a purpose. I value my critics because they keep me alert in a world that is full of evil. Some of us are where we are today only because of God’s grace, and we serve a living God,” he wrote.
Mosiria encouraged people not to lose focus in the face of negative comments, saying that criticism should not stop anyone from doing good.
Let actions speak louder than words
The county official urged Kenyans to continue helping others regardless of public opinion, noting that it is not necessary to respond to every negative comment.
He said remaining humble and consistent is more important than trying to answer every critic.
“Keep doing good, even when you face criticism. You don’t have to respond to every negative voice. Sometimes the criticism you endure is part of the blessings God is preparing for you. Stay focused, remain humble, and let your actions speak louder than your words,” he said.
Children remain his greatest motivation
Mosiria concluded by saying children remain the most valuable part of society, adding that their appreciation is one of the biggest rewards for anyone serving the community.
He explained that children express genuine gratitude without hidden intentions, making their encouragement especially meaningful.
“The greatest asset in this world is our children. When children genuinely appreciate you, know that it is one of the clearest reminders that your work is touching lives. Their innocence, honesty and gratitude are priceless, and such appreciation is a blessing from God,” Mosiria said.
His remarks come as he continues to share updates on his efforts to assist vulnerable members of society, including rescuing children and helping people facing difficult circumstances across Nairobi.
