From Amen to elect me: Kanyari shares vision for Kasarani as he prepares to vie

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Prophet Victor Kanyari appears to be leaving nothing to chance as he positions himself for the Kasarani parliamentary race in 2027.
In a soft message shared on his Facebook account on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Kanyari shifted focus from preaching to development, outlining the kind of community he hopes to see in Kasarani if allowed to serve.
Kanyari had a few weeks ago rubbished claims that he is venturing into politics to chase money, tenders and other selfish interests.
The televangelist, who has previously declared interest in the Kasarani Member of Parliament seat, said true leadership should be measured by the positive change it brings to people’s lives.

According to Kanyari, his vision includes quality education for children, employment opportunities for young people, improved roads, accessible healthcare services and a better standard of living for families.
“True leadership is measured by the positive change it brings to the lives of the people.
My vision is a community where every child has access to quality education, every youth has opportunities for employment and business growth, our roads are improved, healthcare services are accessible, and every family can enjoy a better standard of living,” he wrote.

While the message did not contain direct campaign rhetoric, it offered a glimpse into the issues Kanyari believes should take centre stage in Kasarani.
The preacher emphasised that development should not be treated as a future promise but as an immediate responsibility.

He also called for unity, hard work and accountability, saying communities can achieve meaningful progress when residents work together towards common goals.
“Development is not a promise for tomorrow. It is a responsibility that begins today. Together, through unity, hard work, and accountability, we can transform our community into a model of progress and prosperity,” he stated.
Kanyari has increasingly used his social media platforms to engage followers on matters beyond religion, occasionally sharing his views on social and community issues.

Victor Kanyari MP bid
The latest remarks are likely to fuel further discussion about Kanyari’s ambitions in Kasarani, a constituency that has attracted interest from several aspirants ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Although the election is still some distance away, Kanyari’s message suggests he is already thinking about issues that resonate with residents, including jobs, healthcare, education and infrastructure.
He concluded his message on an optimistic note, encouraging residents to remain focused on building a better future.
“As you go about your daily activities, remember that every step we take together brings us closer to the future we deserve.
“Wishing you a productive and successful day. The journey of development continues, and the best is yet to come,” he said.
Whether viewed as a motivational message or an early glimpse into his leadership agenda, Kanyari’s remarks have once again put the spotlight on his journey from the pulpit to the political arena.
