Nigerian preacher David Ogbueli says Kenya is rising as he honours Ruto for gracing Rhema Feast

Dominion City Worldwide founder and Senior Pastor David Ogbueli has declared that Kenya is rising and taking its place among the Commonwealth of Nations, as he honoured President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto for attending Rhema Feast.
Speaking during the final day of Rhema Feast on Friday, September 4, 2026, the prominent Nigerian preacher, author and social reformer also paid tribute to the organisers of the gathering, describing the transformation he had witnessed at Uhuru Park as unlike anything he had encountered during his years in ministry.
Ogbueli began by recognising Reverend Julian Kyula, the convener of Rhema Feast, whom he described as a gift to the entire African continent.
“I want to specially honour Reverend Julian Kyula. You are a gift to the whole continent of Africa,” Ogbueli said.
He then turned his attention to President Ruto and Mama Rachel, thanking the Head of State and the First Lady for gracing the Christian gathering and acknowledging Rachel as the mother of the nation.
“I want to recognise and honour His Excellency, the President of Kenya, and the First Lady. Thank you, sir, for being here, and thank you, ma, the mother of the nation,” he said.
Ogbueli went on to deliver an optimistic message about Kenya’s trajectory, declaring that the country was increasingly taking its place on the continental and global stage.
“Kenya is rising and it is taking its place in the Commonwealth of Nations,” he said.
The Nigerian minister also recognised Apostle Lubega, who had ministered shortly before him, praising the message he had delivered to the Rhema Feast congregation.
“I also want to honour Apostle Lubega, who just ministered. What a good word,” Ogbueli said.

He further acknowledged Pastor Poju Oyemade and his wife, recalling the role they had played in speaking to him about Rhema Feast and encouraging his involvement in the gathering.
“I also want to honour my dear friend and his good friend who has been talking to me about Rhema Feast, Pastor Poju, and his first lady,” he said.
Ogbueli then offered perhaps his strongest endorsement of the gathering, saying that he had witnessed something at Rhema Feast that stood apart from the miracle and healing crusades he had encountered throughout his ministry.
“All my life, I have never seen a discipleship and transformation like this. I see miracle healing crusades, but what is going on here? wow, I have never seen it,” he said.
The preacher revealed that he had taken time to reflect on the significance of the gathering even before taking to the stage, saying he thanked God for bringing him to Kenya not merely to preach but to witness what was unfolding at Uhuru Park.
“I told the Lord while sitting there, ‘Thank You for bringing me here to witness this and not just to preach,’” Ogbueli said.
He was visibly struck by the sheer number of people who had gathered at the venue and the sustained spiritual activity that had characterised the event from the morning.
“Since morning, all these people – this is crazy,” he said.
The event brought together prominent Kenyan and international ministers, with worshippers turning up in large numbers for different sessions throughout the week.
