Digital creator and Diamond Platnumz’s sister, Esma Platnumz, has shared her thoughts on friendship, family and personal growth, saying that priorities change with age.

The social media influencer explained that there comes a point in life when friends are no longer at the centre of a person’s world. Instead, she said, children and faith become more important.

“Kuna umri ukifika, marafiki siyo tena kipaumbele,” Esma Platnumz wrote on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

She explained that maturity often changes how people view relationships and responsibilities. According to Esma, people begin focusing more on their families and personal values as they grow older. She said this shift naturally affects the size and nature of one’s social circle.

“Watoto wako na Mungu wako ndiyo watakuwa circle yako kuu,” Esma Platnumz said.

The businesswoman added that this stage of life reflects personal growth and understanding. She suggested that people reach a different level of maturity when they stop placing friendships at the centre of everything. According to her, priorities become clearer with time.

“Hapo utajua umekuwa mature enough,” Esma Platnumz said.

Her latest remarks come weeks after she spoke about friendships and the lessons people learn during difficult times. At the time, Esma said challenges often reveal who genuinely cares and who does not.

Lessons from difficult times

Esma previously noted that many people appear supportive when life is going well. However, she explained that situations often change when a person faces difficulties. According to her, hard moments make it easier to identify genuine friendships.

She said challenges help separate people who truly care from those who are only present when things are good. Esma explained that not everyone is willing to remain supportive during difficult periods. As a result, struggles often provide clarity about relationships.

She also said that some people enter another person’s life because of status, connections or opportunities. She explained that this can make it difficult to tell who is genuine. According to her, the truth usually becomes clear when circumstances change.

Esma noted that difficult situations often expose people’s real intentions. She explained that some relationships survive hard times while others do not. For that reason, she believes challenges can teach important lessons about trust and loyalty.
