An old video of New Life Church International founder Pastor Ezekiel Odero praying for Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has resurfaced online after she announced she has welcomed a baby boy, Ollie, with singer Whozu.

In the resurfaced clip, Pastor Ezekiel is seen specifically praying for Wema Sepetu after her public admission that she had been struggling with fertility challenges and had come to terms with the possibility of not conceiving.

The preacher is heard interceding directly for Sepetu, asking God to intervene in her situation and reverse what she had described as a difficult journey toward motherhood. He prayed that despite her acceptance of the possibility of remaining childless, she would experience a breakthrough and conceive.

“I saw a trending video of a woman saying she had given up on having a child and felt that maybe it was God’s will. I do not know her personally, but I have seen her on YouTube, and maybe she is born again or not. Today I pray that God answers that woman’s prayers,” he said.

Pastor Ezekiel also emphasised in the prayer that Sepetu’s condition was known through her public statements, adding that he was moved to pray after coming across her emotional disclosure online.

He called on God to surprise her with a child, regardless of her past experiences or medical challenges.

“The woman I saw being interviewed said she is 35 years old and feels she may never give birth. Lord, I pray that You answer her. Even if she is good or bad, please remember her. Even if she has come to peace with the idea of being barren, Lord, please give her a surprise in her life. Manifest Yourself, Lord God. I know she does not know that I am praying for her, and she does not know that I came across her video,” the pastor added.

What did Sepetu say about barrenness?

In the worrying video, the former Miss Tanzania spoke candidly about her belief that she may never be able to conceive due to infertility and age.

Wema opened up about her personal struggles with motherhood, revealing that she had already accepted that pregnancy might not be possible for her.

She said that even well-wishes regarding childbirth no longer affected her expectations, as she did not believe she would become pregnant.

“Of course, I have not been blessed to have a baby. And even if you tell me that you wish me well and all the best in having a child, I cannot take that because I am not expecting that I will get a pregnancy,” she said.

She further explained that at the age of 35, she had come to terms with the idea that her journey toward having a child may have ended.

According to her, the desire to have a baby had gradually faded over time, adding that when someone longs for something deeply for too long without fulfilment, they eventually lose hope or interest.

“I have already turned 35, and I do not expect that I will become pregnant,” she added.

Wema also disclosed that she had been informed of medical complications that needed to be addressed first, which contributed to her belief that motherhood might not happen for her naturally. Despite the emotional weight of her statement, she emphasised acceptance and faith, noting that God remains in control of everything.

“My road to wanting a baby is done. You see, there is also desire, and it is not in me. Because when someone desires something so much, they lose interest,” she shared.
