Adelle Onyango opens up about life after divorce and her healing journey

Media personality Adelle Onyango has shared details about her life after divorce, explaining how she went through a period of loneliness, healing, and rebuilding.

On Monday, June 22, 2026, she said the experience came at a time when she was trying to “come up for air” and adjust to a new chapter in her life. According to her, this period also shaped her emotional and creative journey.

Adelle Onyango said she was working on her anthology piece titled HOME, which later became her debut film, during this time. She explained that she was also dealing with personal changes following her divorce. She added that the rebuilding process was not easy but became part of her growth.

“It was after my divorce, I was coming up for air, feeling lonely and rebuilding,” Adelle Onyango said.

She further explained that a close friend later gifted her a body tap therapy session as a birthday present. Adelle Onyango said she decided to attend the session even though she had never met the practitioner before. She added that the experience became one of the most emotional moments of her healing journey.

“My friend gifted me a body tap therapy session for my birthday. I see this woman I’ve never met before, and the session begins. It’s incredible,” Adelle Onyango said.

Healing experience after divorce

Adelle Onyango described the session as deeply emotional and said it helped her reconnect with her body. She explained that the practitioner reacted emotionally at the end of the session, which made her feel even more overwhelmed. According to her, the moment left her in tears because it felt validating.

She added that the experience went beyond physical therapy and became a moment of emotional release. Adelle Onyango explained that she felt seen and supported in a way she had not expected. She said the session helped her during a vulnerable period in her life.

“There is a way body tap therapy reconnects you with your body that’s magical,” Adelle Onyango said.

Adelle Onyango also shared that the practitioner told her they were not alone in the room, something she initially questioned. She said she was surprised by the message and how it connected to her personal writing at the time. According to her, the experience felt meaningful and unexpected.

She concluded that moments like these have continued to affirm her belief that she is supported in her journey.
