Willy Paul buys new Range Rover, names it after Nigerian singer Ayra Starr
Kenyan artiste Wilson Abubakar Radido, alias Willy Paul, has bought a brand-new black Range Rover and named it after Nigerian singer Ayra Starr.
The sleek luxury SUV, which features a glossy black finish, chrome accents, and a signature panoramic roof, was revealed by the singer in a social media post on Thursday, June 27.
While showing off the car, Willy Paul linked the milestone to his music and life journey, using the moment to inspire his fans.
He noted that it was purely by God’s grace that he had been able to purchase the multimillion-shilling car, and invited his fans to celebrate the milestone by sending congratulatory messages.
“Just like my song ‘You Never Know,’ you never know where God can take you. Help me welcome my new toy. I call her Ayra Starr,” he wrote.
The singer also used the opportunity to reflect on his roots in Mathare, saying that anyone can succeed with hard work and persistence.
“If a boy from Mathare can drive this, then anyone can. Never give up,” he added.

The post included photos of the glossy black Range Rover Vogue parked in an outdoor setting, its sharp lines, polished rims and luxury finish clearly visible.
The car’s high-performance engine and premium interior are part of what makes it one of the most desired models in the Range Rover lineup.
Fans flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, praising both the car and the motivation behind it.
Rich man
The purchase has come just a month after the ‘Njiwa’ crooner claimed that he parted with a staggering Ksh38 million to secure a collaboration with Congolese music sensation Innos B.
In an Instagram post on Friday, April 25, 2025, Willy Paul disclosed that he paid the hefty sum, equivalent to 300,000 USD, just to obtain a single verse from the celebrated artiste, calling it the most costly collaboration he has ever made.
“Probably the most expensive collaboration I’ve paid for. I had to pay my bro, Official Innos B, 300,000 dollars to get him to do a verse,” he posted.

Willy Paul, whose collaboration with the singer is a song titled ‘Bingiri’, further touted how acclaimed Innos B is, even reminding his fans that he did one of the most viral collaborations with Tanzanian Bongo Flava icon Diamond Platnumz for the song ‘Yope’, which is still topping charts.
He went on to add that his collaboration with Innos B meant that they were on the verge of setting the Kenyan music scene on fire, just like Innos’s collaboration with Diamond did to the Tanzanian music scene.
“Don’t forget he gave us ‘Yope’ with Diamond. We’re taking over now—Kenya versus Congo,” he posted.
