Stevo Simple Boy admits earlier doubts about his wife’s pregnancy were prank-related
Kibera-born rapper Stevo Simple Boy has officially confirmed that his wife is pregnant, days after causing a stir online when he previously claimed he was unsure about her pregnancy.
Speaking to YouTubers during Oga Obinna’s ‘My Mistakes’ show on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the artiste explained that the earlier confusion had been triggered by a prank his wife had pulled on him but made it clear that the matter is now fully resolved.
“I had earlier said I was not sure whether she was pregnant, but after we spoke, I realised she was simply playing a joke on me,” he said.
Stevo then added that his wife had pulled the prank on him because she was uncertain about the depth of his love but later confirmed that he truly loves her to the core, which helped put all lingering tension to rest.
“She did not know how much I truly love her. But now, everything is calm and clear. She is pregnant. Very soon, you will meet Dragon Junior.”
The rapper also took a moment to praise his wife, who he revealed comes from Homa Bay, describing her as a grounded and honest woman.
“My wife is from Homa Bay. She is someone who is open, humble, and values honesty. She does not like keeping secrets, and that is something I admire,” he stated.
Child’s paternity
Stevo also addressed previous speculation about the child’s paternity, stating without hesitation that he is fully confident the baby is his.
He added that, unlike the previous situation where he had publicly denied fathering his estranged wife’s child, this time he is fully confident that he is the father and expressed his excitement about expecting a baby boy.
“This time round, there will not be any confusion. Unlike before, when I denied fathering a child with my estranged wife, I am now absolutely sure this child is mine. I know the baby is mine, and I am really excited that I will be having a son,” he said, in what appeared to be a direct response to lingering public doubts.
Car owner
Alongside the personal news, Stevo Simple Boy shared a proud update on his latest professional milestone of acquiring a new car.
The rapper revealed that he has already purchased the vehicle through a collaboration with a businesswoman who owns a shop and appointed him as a brand ambassador.
“It did not take me long to buy a car. There is a woman who owns a shop, and we had a discussion. She agreed to make me an ambassador, and through the deal, she gave me some money, which I then used to buy the car,” Stevo explained.
Although the vehicle is already in his possession, the rapper said he is not yet driving it as they are finalising matters with insurance.
He also revealed that the reason fans have not spotted him cruising around in the car is because he has yet to learn how to drive but was quick to assure them that the setback is only temporary, as he is gearing up to start driving lessons very soon.
“I know many people are wondering why I have not been seen on the road with the car. We are just waiting to finalise insurance. By next week, I will be on the road. I do not know how to drive yet, but I will learn,” he added with optimism.
