Betty Bayo’s widower Tash left emotional after Sky and Danny surprise him with flowers

Betty Bayo’s widower Hiram “Tash” Gitau has been left emotional after her children Sky and Danny surprised him with a bouquet of red roses and a heartfelt handwritten note thanking him for being a good dad.
In a TikTok video shared by Tash’s friend Frank Mash on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Tash is seen arriving at the door of their home before noticing the bouquet and the handwritten message that had been left for him.
The widower walks towards the flowers before appearing to realise that the surprise has been deliberately prepared for him by the two children.
He then kneels down to pick up the bouquet of red roses and the small piece of paper carrying the handwritten message, taking a moment to admire the flowers before turning his attention to what Sky and Danny had written.
The message had been written on a cut piece of paper and directly addressed Tash as “Dad”, with the children explaining that they had spotted the flowers in a shop and decided to buy them specifically for him.
“Dad, I and Danny saw flowers in the shop and decided to buy them for you,” the note read.
The children then went on to thank Tash for the role he has continued to play in their lives, before encouraging him to remain strong.
“Thank you for being a good dad. Stay strong. From Danny and Sky,” the note concluded.
The simplicity of the handwritten message appeared to touch Tash, who immediately turned to the camera to share what the children had written.
“Wow, these kids. Have you seen what Danny and Sky have written me? Let me read for you,” Tash said.
He then proceeded to read the note aloud, repeating the children’s message and appearing to take in the significance of their words.
“Dad, I and Danny saw flowers in the shop and decided to buy them for you. Thank you for being a good dad,” he read.
The message appeared to leave him momentarily overwhelmed, with Tash repeating his admiration for the gesture before once again referring to the children affectionately.
“Wow, these kids,” he said.
He also turned his attention back to the bouquet itself, appearing impressed by the flowers as he continued holding them.
“And these flowers are smelling so well,” Tash said.
