Salasya questions mysterious lip swelling days after Azziad’s revelation
Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has raised questions about the mysterious swelling of lips, just days after media personality and influencer Azziad Nasenya shared that she was dealing with the same issue.
On Friday, March 21, 2025, Salasya took to his official Instagram account to share a collage of himself and Azziad, both with swollen lips, along with a curious question about the mysterious condition.
“Just seen this one… shida ya malips huwanga nini,” Salasya asked.
His remarks came shortly after Azziad shared a photo of her swollen lip, revealing that she had been dealing with it alongside the flu.
Azziad’s swollen lips
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Azziad opened up about a recent health scare after catching a severe flu that caused her lips to swell unexpectedly.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the radio presenter shared photos and videos of her condition that had turned her into a temporary lip filler enthusiast, shocking her followers with the drastic change in her appearance.
She explained that the flu started mildly, but by the time she went to bed, her upper lip had swollen significantly.
Hoping for a quick remedy, Azziad visited a pharmacy, where she was given medicine and reassured that the swelling would go down within an hour. However, things did not go as expected, and her condition worsened, forcing her to seek medical attention at a hospital.
Responding to fans who reacted to her swollen lips in her DMs, the content creator playfully warned them that they could find themselves in a similar predicament one day.
“I had a really bad flu. I caught the bug that has been going around. This is how it started—very small. By the time I was going to bed, this was the condition. Like I had gone to the pharmacy.
“I got medicine, and they said it would go down in an hour, but that didn’t happen. It wasn’t going down at all. I had to go to the hospital. Nyinyi chekeni kwa DMs zangu. Chuma chenu ki motoni. I never imagined this could happen to me,” Azziad shared.
However, she later updated her fans, sharing that she had fully recuperated and that her lips were back to normal.
Salasya’s swollen lips
Salasya, known for his humorous and lighthearted posts, on February 17, 2025, joked about his swollen lip. In a playful update on his social media, he shared a video of his swollen lips, revealing that he was recovering well after a minor lip surgery, adding that his lips look bigger.
“Recuperating so well after a minor lip surgery. Saa hizi zinakaa kubwa kama za ule dem wa Tanzania madona,” he disclosed.
