Tanzania star Diamond Platinumz in a candid post on his social media revealed his new song Naanzaje makes him want to indulge in the love and romance game once again.
The singer whose love life has been in headlines for the last decade involving cheating scandals, messy splits, and lots of babies from across East Africa says he is however a bit sceptical about it.
“…for some reason kadri muda uendanvyo nimejikuta naupenda saana, na mbaya zaidi kila niusikiapo unanifanya nitamani tena kumpenda mtu, na kuwa tena wenye Mahusiano……japo ghafla akili timamu hunijiaga, na kunambia “Simba Jifocusie zako kwenye kazi mwaya,” his caption read in parts.
(As time goes by, I fell in love with my new song and every time I play it, it makes me wanna fall in love again and have a romantic relationship with them. However, in reality, I whisper to myself, ‘Simba focus on yourself and your job)
Anyway, while ‘Simba’ is railing against another possible round with a sweet-loving woman, his Ugandan ex and baby mama Zari a few hours earlier posted her photo and captioned it to insinuate she got herself a new lover.
“I prayed for you, I envisioned you, then you happened,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
Diamond’s messy love life
The father of four might be popular for his hit songs dropping back to back but there is more to his fame and for the last decade, it has all played out right in front of our eyes.
It all began with his highly publicised cheating allegations on the then Miss Tanzania Wema Sepetu before hooking up with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.
Their romance seemed promising until Diamond cheated on the pregnant Zari with Tanzania socialite Hamisa Mobetto who actually conceived.
Zari announced her breakup on valentines day calling him out for betrayal.
Soon after in 2019, he tried his luck with Kenyan Internet personality cum singer Tanasha Donna but the two split later in March 2020.
