Clout chasing? Actress Marya Okoth announces breakup with YY

Kenyan actress who doubles up as a digital content creator Marya Okoth has announced a breakup with his lover Oliver Otieno popularly known as YY Comedian. However, this could be a publicity stunt.

Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday, September 5, 2024, Marya disclosed that she and her baby daddy will no longer be together due to unavoidable circumstances.

Additionally, the award-winning influencer thanked her fans and followers for the immense support and love they have shown them adding that they expect individual privacy from their fervent supporters.

“Hello and good morning. We are saddened to let you know that Marya Okoth and YY Comedian will no longer be together due to unavoidable circumstances. Thank you for your love and support through our union. We expect individual privacy from each one of you,” Marya said.

The couple shares a 3-year-old daughter.

Marya rose to fame in 2023 after showcasing her acting skills in a viral Kenyan movie series dubbed A Nurse Toto which was produced by comedian Eddie Butita.

Through her commendable acting skills, Marya commands a huge following on her socials.

Bahati’s vague post led to widespread confusion from his fans with his celebrity friends questioning the singer’s motive.

However, days later the couple on Thursday, June 6, 2024, launched a new family reality TV show dubbed ‘The Bahati Empire.
