Nimekuweka vizuri: Bahati turns down Diana Marua’s 10th anniversary gift request

Digital content creator Diana Marua has left fans amused after sharing a playful conversation with her husband, musician Kevin Bahati, in which he firmly turned down her request for a special gift ahead of their 10th anniversary.
In a video posted on her Instagram account on Monday, August 3, 2026, the couple was seen chatting outside their home as Bahati prepared to leave. The light-hearted exchange quickly turned into a debate about how they should celebrate a decade together.
Diana reminded Bahati that they will mark 10 years together in October and insisted that the milestone deserved a memorable celebration.
“Hii August, lazima unipeleke in a seven-star hotel somewhere,” Diana told Bahati.
“We are clocking 10 years in October.”
However, Bahati quickly shut down the idea, revealing that there would be no lavish gifts or vacations anytime soon.
“I already told you there are no vacations and no gifts; there is none of these happening until 2028,” Bahati responded.
A decade together
Not ready to give up, Diana questioned why Bahati was unwilling to mark such an important milestone in their relationship.
“You do not want to do something for a decade with you? Diana added.
She went on to jokingly remind him of the challenges they had overcome together over the years.
“You know how much suffering we have been through with you? Ten years nimekuvumilia,” she stated.
Bahati, however, maintained that he had already done enough for his wife.
“I love you, wewe shukuru mungu nimekuweka vizuri,” Bahati said.
“I have given you a good life.”
Diana on the tin anniversary
The playful exchange continued as Diana later teased her husband on social media, suggesting he was no longer making an effort to impress her.
“BAHATI UMECHOKA NA MIMI? We are clocking a decade in a few weeks, and this man @bahatikenya is not planning to do anything about it!!!” Diana added.
“Alishinda’s jackpot, and now he’s not even making an effort to keep me. How do I deal with this, man?”
Bahati responded with another humorous remark, listing some of the things he believes he has already provided.
“Ukona, Manyumba na Magari! Nini, Ingine, unataka??? ” Let me go help Kenyans as I fix the nation,” Bahati responded.
