Late TikToker Brian Chira’s best friend, Manze Wa Mombasa, has clarified that people should stop associating her with the LGBTQ community, which she had previously championed, as she has embraced a new lifestyle.

Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the TikToker explained that she has since received Christ, a change she attributes to being closer to the pulpit and joining Prophet Victor Kanyari’s church, Salvation Healing Ministries.

“To all those people who have been saying that I am a lesbian and should not be there, yes, I was a lesbian, but nowadays, after joining Prophet Kanyari’s church, I have changed, and now I am straight,” she said.

Manze stated that her transformation is evident in her behaviour and participation in church activities, particularly in her singing, which she now performs in the manner of a born-again Christian.

“I have changed, and now I am straight. Even when I go to sing there, do not say I sing like a lesbian; I sing like a born-again Christian,” she said.

Manze then clarified that she does not hold a formal title within the church.

She, however, highlighted the various ways in which she contributes to the spiritual and organisational activities of the church headquartered in Niiru along Kangundo road.

She revealed that she helps with arranging and coordinating events, ensuring that visitors and new attendees are welcomed and guided properly, and that church programmes proceed smoothly.

“Since I joined the church, I do not hold any official position, but I help with various tasks here and there inside,” she said.

She added that she participates actively in the praise and worship team, lending her voice to lead the congregation during spiritual services, which she says brings her both joy and purpose.

“I am the one who organises things when visitors arrive; that is my work there. I am also part of the praise and worship team,” she said.

The TikToker is among a host of people, including Brian Chira’s grandmother, who have in recent days been attending Prophet Kanyari’s church consistently.

She has been trending after a video went viral showing her roasting meat at the pulpit alongside Kanyari, which she said was part of an empowerment programme.
