Jamhuri Day celebration: Lineup of musicians set to perform at Uhuru Gardens

A handful of top musicians have been lined up to perform at the Jamhuri Day celebration that is ongoing at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.

As with the norm during national celebrations, entertainment usually cuts across the arts industry with performances from musicians, thespians and artists.

Thespians and musicians are set to perform joint skits and songs that have been specifically tailored for the Jamhuri Day celebrations.

The star-studded lineup of musicians includes; celebrated singer Eric Wainaina, Bahati, Wyre, Nazizi, Fena Gitu, Gilad Millo, Bensoul, Karwirwa Laura among others.

There will be a collaboration of a song titled Kidete that will be performed by Bensoul, Bahati, Fena, Laura and Maimooh.

Nazizi, Wyre, Gilad and Johny Skani will perform a song dubbed ‘Champion’.

Amalgamation of Nairobi Choristers will perform a medley of patriotic songs including Heko Jmahuri, Tunajivunia and Tuishangilie Kenya.

In terms of acting skits, Actress Elizabeth Wanjiru aka Charity Mwamba of Mother-In-Law, Jackie Nyaminde aka Wilbroda of Papa Shirandula, Davis Mwabili aka Inspekta Mwala of Inspekta Mwala, Ondiek Nyuka Kwota, Makokha Makacha, Terence Creative are all set to entertain guests at the Jamhuri Day fete.
