Tanzanian singer Harmonize has reignited his long-standing feud with former mentor Diamond Platnumz, this time casting doubt on the singer’s surprise wedding to Zuchu.

In a pointed post on Instagram Stories on Monday, June 2, 2025, Harmonize threw subtle shade at Diamond Platnumz, questioning the legitimacy of the union and implying it was more of a publicity stunt than a heartfelt commitment.

The Konde Gang boss claimed the wedding was simply a strategy to keep Zuchu, who is signed under Diamond’s WCB Wasafi label, close and under control.

Nilimuoa, sio kama mnavyo dhani. Funny guy, let her go. Been serious to her my bro, pretend to marry her so she can stay under the label,” Harmonize wrote, hinting that Diamond’s motives were more professional than personal.

Their rocky history dates back to 2019, when Harmonize exited WCB on sour terms. Since then, the two have exchanged jabs on and off social media, with Harmonize often accusing Diamond of being manipulative and controlling over his signees.

Wedding sparks reactions

The drama unfolded after Diamond posted a series of emotional wedding clips with Zuchu on Instagram. In the footage, the pair exchanged vows in a private Muslim ceremony held on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Zuchu, visibly emotional, tearfully announced, “We are married!”

The ceremony, kept away from mainstream media, painted a picture of intimacy and transformation.

Diamond’s caption struck a philosophical tone, speaking of growth, silence, and divine wisdom.

“I’ve learned to stay quiet,” he reflected. “Peace is worth more than proving a point.”

He also dropped a bombshell revelation, hinting that he had been married before and would reveal the details in due time.

The cryptic confession sent fans into a frenzy, triggering speculation about a secret past relationship.

Fans remain divided

Harmonize’s comments sparked fresh debate online. Some followers praised Diamond’s introspective maturity and saw the wedding as a genuine step toward stability.

Others echoed Harmonize’s scepticism, suspecting the ceremony was orchestrated for social media optics.

Over the years, several artists, including Rayvanny, Mbosso, and Lava Lava, have left WCB under strained circumstances, further fueling Harmonize’s claims of dysfunction at the label.

Whether genuine or staged, Diamond and Zuchu’s wedding has gripped East Africa, adding another chapter to the turbulent WCB legacy and keeping fans firmly glued to their screens.
