Zuchu shows off lean post-baby figure as she attends first public event after becoming a mum

Tanzanian singer Zuchu stepped out in denim shorts, a white T-shirt and long black boots as she made her first public appearance since becoming a mum, joining a star-studded gathering to celebrate the reopening of Juma Jux’s African Boy fashion store.
The singer attended the grand reopening on Sunday, September 20, 2026, alongside her husband, Diamond Platnumz, in what marked her return to the public celebrity scene following the birth of their daughter, Sandara.
Although Zuchu had previously appeared at the 40th-day celebration held for their baby, that occasion was a private family affair and was largely centred on the couple and their close circle.
Her appearance at Jux’s reopening was different, bringing her back into a public entertainment setting where she mingled with other celebrities and joined them in supporting the fashion entrepreneur.
Zuchu appeared relaxed and stylish as she arrived at the event in denim shorts paired with a white T-shirt and long black boots.
The casual outfit gave the singer a youthful look as she walked around the fashion store, with her appearance also drawing attention to her post-baby look.
Despite having recently given birth, Zuchu appeared in good shape as she moved around the packed store and interacted with other guests.
Rather than simply attending the occasion, the singer also joined other celebrities in supporting Jux and his wife, Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo, by shopping at the reopened African Boy store.
Zuchu was seen browsing through the clothes and other items inside the store, taking part in the shopping experience as the celebrity guests celebrated the return of the fashion brand.
Her presence alongside Diamond added another major celebrity moment to the reopening, with the couple among the high-profile guests who turned up to support their longtime friend.
The occasion also gave Zuchu an opportunity to step back into the social spotlight after spending the period following childbirth largely away from major public events.
African Boy had been looted during the protests, with the entire stock taken from the store while the building itself remained standing.
The reopening therefore brought together a large gathering of celebrities who came out to support Jux as he began another chapter for the fashion brand.
Among those who attended were Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Ben Pol, Chino Kidd, Tanzanian model Sophia Amelowa, music producer S2kizzy, actress Masha Lovie and singer Abigail Chams.
Diamond’s presence was particularly meaningful to Jux, who became emotional while speaking about the support he had received from the singer.
Jux revealed that he had approached Diamond after the store was looted and appealed to him to help promote African Boy.
According to Jux, Diamond agreed to take part in a photoshoot and allowed him to use his image for promotional purposes without charging him.
“And what I can say is that there is a photo in this shop which is of Diamond Platnumz. Some of you all who know are aware that it is not easy and is very hard to have Diamond Platnumz in your billboard or to use him for promotion,” he said.
Jux said the gesture meant a great deal to him, especially because securing Diamond’s image for commercial promotion was not something he considered easy.
He also revealed that Diamond attended the reopening after being in Zambia, making his eventual arrival another highlight of the occasion.
The fashion entrepreneur described Diamond as more than a friend, referring to him as his brother and real family.
“But when I approached him and told him what had happened and appealed to him, he agreed and did a photo shoot with me and gave me access to all things that I needed,” Jux said.
