Artistes’ line-up at Luo Festival: Ommy Dimpoz leads electrifying performance at Uhuru Gardens

The Luo Festival at Uhuru Gardens came alive with an electrifying mix of music, dance, and cultural pride, drawing thousands of attendees from across the country.
Tanzanian star Ommy Dimpoz made a surprise appearance, thrilling the crowd with his hit Hallo Baby on Saturday morning, August 9, 2025.
Hip-hop heavyweight Khaligraph Jones set the stage ablaze with his high-energy performance, while Okello Max, Iyanni, and Javan Macajudo kept the momentum going with crowd-favourite tracks.
The audience was also treated to captivating performances by Coster Ojwang, John Junior, Musa Jakadala, Osito Kale, Odongo Swag, Prince Inda, and Tony Nyadundo.
Additionally, legendary Benga artiste Emma Jalamo closed the night with a powerful set that had fans dancing to the very end.
Behind the decks, DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Jr, DJ Daffy, DJ Malaika, DJ Walo, and PS Scratch kept the energy soaring, while hypemen MC Gogo and Hype Ballo kept the revellers engaged and energised.

The annual cultural event, known for showcasing Luo music, fashion, cuisine, and lifestyle, has steadily grown into one of Kenya’s most popular social gatherings.

Among the attendees was Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino, who called upon the community to embrace and safeguard their cultural heritage, noting that traditions form the backbone of unity and identity.
