Wednesday blackout to hit parts of several parts of Nairobi West

Kenya Power has announced a planned power outage that will affect several areas within Nairobi West on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the utility company cited routine network maintenance as the reason for the planned electricity interruption.

“Good evening. Please note that the following areas are scheduled for planned power maintenance tomorrow,” Kenya Power announced.

The planned outage will take place from 9 am to 5 pm.

Areas expected to be affected by the outage include Msufu Road, Sumba Road, Naimei Road, ICC Church Mombasa Road, Paa Crescent, Kifaru Crescent, Swara Crescent, Ghandi Avenue, Kisauni Road, Muthaiti Avenue, Muhoho Avenue, Nairobi West Hospital, Hotel Rio, Kodi Road, Summerdale Hotel, Absa Bank Nairobi West, Geta Road, Nyayo Stadium, Masaba Road, Ole Sankale Road, Madaraka Estate, Serene Court, Foundation Court, Ramsey Court, Siwaka Estate, Strathmore University, Langata Technical College, and Madaraka Primary School, among other nearby areas.

Kenya Power urged customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and apologised for any inconvenience that may arise during the maintenance period.
