Trio Mio has narrated an incident that embarrassed him and his brother during childhood.

Speaking on Churchill Show on Sunday, Trio said they stole their mother’s car only to stall on the road after running low on fuel.

The two had lied to their mother that they were taking the vehicle to a car wash before they vernished with it. They were headed to a venue for a video shoot before the car stalled.

“We stole my mum’s car to go shoot the video but the car stalled on the highway after it ran dry of fuel. My brother took my mum’s car without her permission,” he narrated.

He added: “We would lie that we were going to the car wash. On the day we took the car, the fuel got finished on the highway so we had to push the car and get it to safety. The video shoot backfired,” he added.

The Sipangwingwi hitmaker also said he started rapping when he was in Standard Four.

“I realised I had a music talent when I was in Standard Four. I could rap but most of my songs were based on insults.

“Later on, I started writing my own songs and practised singing alone,” he said.

The singer also praised his mother whom he said has been his support system and manager.
