Ruto to opposition: We’ll shock you, Kenya will move from third-world to first

Speaking in Samburu County on Monday, November 10, 2025, during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Archer’s Post Affordable Housing Project, Ruto took a swipe at opposition leaders and sceptics who, he said, have no concrete ideas and constantly dismiss his government’s development blueprint.
“Wale watu hawana maono, hawana mpango, hawana sera. Ati wanasema Kenya haiwezi kutoka third world kuenda first world,” Ruto said. “Nyinyi hamkuamini chochote, lakini tutawashangaza, tutawashitua, kwa sababu Kenya katika maisha yetu itatoka third world country hadi first world.”

Ruto cited major strides in housing, healthcare, and infrastructure as proof that his government is capable of delivering results that critics once claimed were impossible.

“Si walisema haiwezekani mambo ya afya, ya hospitali na housing? Imewezekana! Haijawezekana?” he posed to the cheering crowd. “Mimi najua inawezekana kwa kura zenu, support zenu, na kwa uwezo wa Mungu.”
The President said the Archer’s Post Affordable Housing Project is part of a broader national effort to provide affordable homes, create jobs, and improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
He added that the initiative will also boost local industries through the production of construction materials and innovation in building technology.
“Our housing agenda is not just about shelter; it’s about creating opportunities, jobs, and restoring dignity to Kenyan families,” he said.
Ruto reaffirmed that Kenya’s transformation into a first-world nation will be achieved through proper planning, innovation, and discipline.
“We have the plans, we have the vision, and we have the resources to do it,” he declared. “Those who doubt us will be shocked when they see Kenya rise to become a global model of growth and transformation.”
He urged Kenyans to remain patient and united as his administration rolls out projects aimed at empowering citizens.
