Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has urged Kenyans across the country to report any form of poor service or mistreatment experienced in government offices.

Speaking on Friday, October 10, 2025, as the nation marked Customer Service Week, Mwaura said the government remains committed to promoting professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy in all public institutions.

Mwaura said that every Kenyan deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness in all government facilities, including hospitals, police stations, and Huduma Centres.

He acknowledged that while many offices have shown progress in improving service delivery, there are still a few cases of misconduct and unresponsiveness that must be addressed.

“Every Kenyan has the right to be treated with dignity, courtesy, and fairness in all government offices.

“As part of this year’s Public Service Week, the government reaffirms its dedication to transparent, efficient, and citizen-centred public service delivery,” Mwaura said.

He noted that the ongoing Customer Service Week provides an opportunity for both citizens and public officers to reflect on how services can be improved to meet the expectations of the people.

Mwaura further encouraged Kenyans to report any cases of poor service delivery, corruption, or negligence to the Office of the Ombudsman for action.

“Citizens who encounter poor service delivery, corruption, and unresponsiveness are encouraged to report such cases to the Office of the Ombudsman,” he said.

He added that such reports are critical in helping the government identify gaps and strengthen integrity across all public institutions.

Mwaura reiterated that the administration is determined to build a citizen-centred culture that values honesty, professionalism, and accountability.

The government spokesperson said the goal is to ensure that public offices serve as a model of efficiency and integrity where every Kenyan can access services without discrimination or frustration.

Mwaura’s remarks come as Kenya joins the rest of the world in celebrating Customer Service Week, a period dedicated to appreciating both customers and service providers while promoting better service standards in all sectors.
