Hours after the body of the fugitive killer cop Caroline Kangogo was discovered at her parents’ home in Nyawa village, Elgeyo Marakwet County, Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered to help the deceased children.
Taking to his Facebook page, Sonko asked Kangogo’s family to consider giving him her two children if they feel they won’t manage to foot their basic needs.
He said he is willing to raise her two children since they are innocent as far as the drama concerning their mother’s last moments in life is concerned.
“My special request to her innocent family in Elgeyo marakwet kama mutalemewa kusomesha au kulea watoto wake please give them to me nikae nao nitawasomesha na kuwalea children are a blessing from God,” Sonko said.
According to the Former Nairobi Governor, Kangogo was forced to kill herself because the public had already judged her guilty without caring to listen to her side of the story.
Sonko says she believed the woman could have been embroiled in a scuffle with her two boyfriends before opting to eliminate them.
He regretted that many Kenyans are feeling pinched by her demise yet most of them had persecuted her without taking time to establish whether she had been depressed beyond control.
“If the public caught with her, they would have lynched her without getting her side of the story because her case has been investigated and prosecuted through the court of public opinion. Now that she’s no more everyone is sympathizing with her,” Sonko stated.
Kangogo was on Thursday morning found dead inside a bathroom in her father’s compound in Keiyo, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
According to a police report, it is Kangongo’s mother who raised alarm immediately she saw her lying inside a bathroom located 40 meters from her parent’s main house.
Police further said that the suspect might have shot herself using a firearm from below the chin and the bullet exited on the head slightly above the left ear.
At the scene, police officers found one Ceskar pistol which was cocked with a magazine loaded with eight rounds of ammunition was found at scene one in the chamber, one used cartridge and one bullet head.
Photos seen by K24 Digital captured Kangogo seated on the floor of the bathroom where she allegedly ended her life.
She was dressed in the same clothes that she was captured wearing when she shot dead her second victim Peter Ndwinga inside a hotel room in Juja Kiambu county just hours after she shot dead another officer John Ogweno in Nakuru county.
