In its latest seven-day forecast released on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, covering November 4–10, 2025, the Met Department says rain will persist in the highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, South-eastern lowlands, Coast, and parts of North-eastern Kenya.

Counties such as Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyeri, Kisumu, Kakamega, Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni are likely to experience afternoon and night showers that may intensify toward the weekend.

At the same time, temperatures are expected to soar past 38°C in some northern and coastal counties. Garissa and Mandera are projected to hit highs of 38°C, while Voi and Lamu could reach 35°C.

In contrast, chilly conditions below 10°C are expected in parts of Nyahururu, Narok, and Laikipia, a dramatic illustration of Kenya’s contrasting weather extremes.
