Kevin Masagara brags about Manchester United, predicts win over Man City

Sport influencer and die-hard Manchester United fan Kevin Masagara has backed his team to beat Manchester City in today’s Manchester derby, expressing confidence ahead of the match.
Masagara said he does not need anyone to support Manchester United for the derby, urging people to stand behind the teams they support. He made it clear that he expects United to get the better of their rivals despite recognising City as a big team.
“Tunajua tutapiga Man City. Saa hii hata hatutaki mtu anatusupport. Kila mtu a support team yake,” Kevin Masagara said late at night on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The sports influencer also spoke about his relationship with Manchester City, describing the club as a big team and referring to one of its supporters as his younger brother. Despite that connection, Masagara said he remains fully prepared to back United in the derby.
“Niko na Manchester City, najua ni team kubwa, huyo ni ndugu yangu mdogo,” Masagara explained.
Masagara backs United ahead of derby
Masagara said he has everything he needs to take on Manchester City, maintaining that his confidence comes from the strength of the Manchester United team. He particularly pointed to the quality of the team going forward as he looked ahead to the match.
“I have everything yenye inataka nipige hii Man City vizuri. Niko na super team, hapo mbele ni mbaya,” Masagara said.
Manchester City head into the derby as Premier League leaders and will face United in their first derby under new manager Enzo Maresca. The match gives Masagara’s prediction a chance to be tested as the two Manchester sides meet.
United have had a mixed start to the season, recording two wins, one defeat and one draw in four matches across all competitions. Their Premier League campaign began with a 2-0 defeat to newly promoted Hull City before they responded with a 5-2 win over Ipswich Town.
Bruno Fernandes scored a hat-trick in the victory over Ipswich, giving United a strong response after their opening-day defeat. The team then drew 2-2 away at Everton after conceding a late equaliser.
United also returned to the Champions League this week after three seasons away from the competition. They began their league phase campaign with a 4-0 win over Azerbaijan’s Sabah, adding another victory before the Manchester derby.
