Kalonzo gifts goats to Gachagua during thanksgiving service at Wamunyoro home

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has gifted goats to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s family during an interdenominational thanksgiving service held at their Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County.
The well-attended event held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, drew thousands of worshippers, including key political leaders such as Democratic Action Party -Kenya (DAP-K) party leader Eugene Wamalwa, People’s Liberation Party (PLP) party leader Martha Karua, former Attorney General Justin Muturi, senators, members of Parliament, and MCAs allied to Gachagua, transforming the Wamunyoro homestead into a spiritual and political meeting point.
Kalonzo, taking to his official X account, further thanked the Second Deputy President and Pastor Dorcas Rigathi for their warm hospitality.
“Kindly accept these goats as our gift from the @TheWiperParty family to the Rigathi family ahead of the Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service today”, Kalonzo wrote.
“Thank you, Second Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Rigathi Gachagua, and Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, for such an incredible welcome to your Wamunyoro residence this Sunday afternoon.”

Political party
The thanksgiving ceremony comes at a time when Gachagua is expected to officially launch his political party later this month.
“Our party is ready. It is in the showroom, the engine is brand new, the tyres are Michelin, and the driver is Gachagua—he won’t steer it off course. People are eager to know the name. The fifth month (May) is when we will make the big reveal,” he announced during an interview on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
We will begin opening branches, transitioning people from UDA, and firmly rooting them in our new home. We want all other communities to join us—we are offering them seats at the table. We have already allocated positions to some, and for those yet to be accommodated, this is their chance to come on board.”

He expressed confidence that the country would be liberated if Kenyans decided to join hands and work together.
“We have had a good conversation, and we have agreed that going forward we are going to work together with other Kenyans. I want to assure you that many Kenyans are looking for leadership. We will work together with like-minded Kenyans, patriots, and people who care for this country. We shall benefit a lot from her counsel; we will consult her regularly alongside other Kenyans of goodwill so that we liberate this country,” Gachagua stated.
It was after the meeting that the two started working together. Since then, they have held several meetings with other opposition leaders, including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) party leader Eugene Wamalwa and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.
