Reverend Julian Kyula confirms Rhema Feast may not return to Uhuru Park in 2027

Ruach Assemblies founder and Senior Pastor Reverend Julian Kyula has confirmed that Rhema Feast may not return to Uhuru Park in 2027 as organisers look for a bigger field capable of accommodating more worshippers.
Speaking in church on Sunday, September 13, 2026, Kyula said the growing size of the Christian gathering had made it necessary for organisers to consider finding a larger venue, noting that they could no longer comfortably fit in a stadium or Uhuru Park.
“And next year we must find a bigger field. We must find one for Rhema Feast. We can no longer fit in any stadium. We cannot fit in Uhuru Park,” he said.
The preacher’s remarks point to a possible change of venue for next year’s edition of the annual gathering, which has continued to attract large numbers of Christians for several days of preaching, prayer, worship and biblical teaching.
Kyula also used the moment to tell his congregation and supporters that the search for a bigger venue should not be viewed as a retreat, instead framing the expansion as part of the challenges that come with pursuing what he described as a greater spiritual assignment.
“Tell your neighbour now that we will enjoy the honey but we will also distract the bees,” Kyula said.
He went on to explain the metaphor, telling worshippers that getting the honey requires confronting the bees and accepting the difficulties that may come with pursuing something valuable.
“You have to distract the bees to get the honey,” he said.
The Ruach Assemblies founder also warned worshippers against losing sight of their faith amid the challenges, declaring that the devil is a liar while encouraging Christians to embrace the good things available to them.
“Know that the devil is a liar but we must also eat the good of the land,” he said.
Kyula further invoked a biblical reference about the enemy coming like a flood, expressing confidence that the Spirit of the Lord would prevail whenever opposition arose.
“And when the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will rule,” he said.
The preacher also appeared to address any opposition that could arise against the Christian gathering, declaring that attempts to stop them from preaching would instead push them to preach even more.
“And just in case the enemy thought he was about to stop us from preaching, we are going to preach more,” he said.
His remarks came after Rhema Feast 2026 brought thousands of Christians together at Uhuru Park in Nairobi for five consecutive days of ministry from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4.
Rhema Feast was convened by Kyula, who established the gathering in 2015 under Ruach Assemblies, a ministry of The Purpose Centre Church.
The opening day on Monday, August 31, featured Deliverance Church Umoja Senior Pastor Bishop JB Masinde, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, Minister Ntokozo Mbambo and Minister Njoki Munyi.
The programme continued on Tuesday, September 1, with Apostle Isi Igenegba, Jubilee Christian Church Bishop Kathy Kiuna, South African gospel minister Dr Tumi, Lady Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo and Apostle Michael Orokpo ministering to worshippers.
The third day on Wednesday, September 2, featured Ruach Assemblies founder and Senior Pastor Reverend Julian Kyula, Apostle Mignonne Kaberia, Apostle Michael Orokpo, Deliverance Church Umoja Senior Pastor Bishop JB Masinde, House of Treasures Ministries founder Apostle Felix Okoh and Apostle Grace Lubega.
Day Four on Thursday, September 3, brought another highly anticipated line-up, including Koinonia Global Ministries founder and lead pastor Apostle Joshua Selman and gospel worship minister Sinach.
They were joined by Apostle Mignonne Kaberia, Reverend Julian Kyula, The Covenant Nation Senior Pastor Pastor Poju Oyemade and House of Treasures Ministries founder Apostle Felix Okoh.
Selman’s appearance drew particular attention, with worshippers at Uhuru Park responding with loud cheers and jubilation as the Nigerian preacher took to the stage.
The grand finale on Friday, September 4, also featured a heavyweight line-up, including Phaneroo Ministries International founder Apostle Grace Lubega, Reverend Julian Kyula, Pastor T Mwangi, Pastor George Macharia, worship minister Dunsin Oyekan, Dominion City Worldwide founder and Senior Pastor David Ogbueli, gospel minister Sinach, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Apostle Lee Wambugu and Apostle Joshua Selman.
