Geoffrey Mosiria engages Nairobians at Makadara office after taking over new docket
Nairobi County Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria visited the Makadara Sub-County offices, where he also toured Huduma Kenya services, which aim to make it easier for residents to access both national and county government services under one roof.
In a statement on Monday, November 24, 2025, Mosiria revealed that he engaged directly with staff and citizens seeking services, taking time to listen to their concerns, grievances, and compliments.

“This feedback is important so that, as a government, we can improve where necessary and maintain the areas where we are performing well,” he stated.
He stated that the devolved unit is committed to providing quality services to every resident, fostering a more inclusive and citizen-centred approach to governance.
“As the County Government, we remain fully committed to providing efficient, accessible, and responsive services to every Nairobi resident, ensuring that no one is left behind,” he added.
This comes a few hours after Mosiria confirmed assuming new roles at City Hall, days after Governor Johnson Sakaja made major changes to his executive department.
On Monday, November 24, 2025, Mosiria took to his social media pages to confirm his new job description. In Governor Sakaja’s reshuffle, the famous staff transitioned from the environmental docket to citizen engagement and customer service. He was replaced by Hibrahim Otieno, who exited the Health Department
“Kwa Majina ni Geoffrey Mosiria, katibu mkuu wa ushirikisho na Huduma kwa wananchi, Gatuzi la Nairobi . Niko tayari tuzungumze, tushirikiane ili upate huduma bora. Tupatane ground tuzungumze na tuchape Kazi.Sasa niko kwa wizara zote kukuhudumia . Nikuhudumie ukiwa pande gani Leo?” Mosiria said.
Meanwhile, Governor Johnson Sakaja has reassigned 10 county chief officers to new dockets to improve service delivery to the public.
The changes, communicated through an official circular dated Tuesday, 18 November 2025, were made in accordance with Section 45(5) of the County Government Act, 2012. According to the notice, the reassignment takes effect immediately.
Among the most notable shifts is Godfrey Akumali, who moves from the Business and Hustler Opportunities docket to take charge of Housing and Urban Renewal, a sector increasingly under scrutiny due to Nairobi’s rapid growth and persistent housing challenges.
