Mumias East Member of Parliament Benjamin Washiali was roughed up by police in Bukhungu stadium after he had gone to help organize a rally for DP William Ruto.

The police accused him of getting into the stadium forcefully.

In a viral video seen by K24 Digital, Washiali is seen being manhandled by the police in an attempt to arrest him.

Washiali is heard shouting; “You have beaten me, you have beaten me…What offense have I committed?”
The Kenya Kwanza camp failed to secure the ground for their rally today.

Malala who is eyeing the Kakamega gubernatorial seat claimed that they were asked to pay nine times the usual amount set for allocation of the venue.

“They told us to pay at first Ksh.900,000 than the usual amount. When we negotiated and agreed on the best price, they requested us to pay via bank and they had already been closed. That is how we were locked out,” Malala told a local publication.
