Star-studded closing ceremony to mark end of historic FIFA World Cup 2026

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will conclude with a spectacular closing ceremony before the final on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at New York New Jersey Stadium, celebrating the tournament’s historic journey across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The event, will honour the memorable campaign of the expanded 48-team tournament, which was staged across 16 host cities in the three host nations.

Renowned entertainers

A host of internationally renowned entertainers will take part in the celebration, including Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, IShowSpeed and Tom Cruise, who is set to make a special appearance. Their performances are expected to provide a memorable build-up before the championship match.

Award-winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, a recipient of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony honours, will perform the United States national anthem ahead of kick-off. Her appearance is expected to set the tone for the tournament’s showpiece finale.

The ceremony has been produced in collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio and is designed to showcase the excitement, emotion and worldwide unity that have defined the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup. Organisers say the competition has broken numerous records while inspiring a new generation of young football fans around the globe. FIFA also confirmed that additional performers and special guests will be announced in the days leading up to the event.

Groundbreaking tournament

FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Operating Officer Heimo Schirgi said the ceremony would provide a fitting conclusion to the tournament.

“Echoing the spirit of the opening ceremonies, which welcomed the world to the greatest stage in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the closing ceremony will bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 full circle through music, culture and football, before we kick off the highly anticipated match that will crown the champions of this groundbreaking tournament.” He said.

Supporters attending the final are encouraged to reach the stadium well before the ceremony begins, as fans will be involved in several elements of the production. The show starts 90 minutes before kick-off. Those arriving early will also have access to various fan activities, exclusive experiences, rewards and additional entertainment before the final gets underway.
