Lemonade review: A teenager learns about second chances, family and growing up

Lemonade is a 2026 drama about growing up, first love, mistakes, and the people who help us when life becomes difficult. The film follows Danny, a teenager whose serious mistake puts his future at risk.
His situation leads him back to Josh, a social worker who once tried to help him but whose own mistakes had caused them to lose touch.
Rather than telling a story about a teenager simply trying to get out of trouble, Lemonade looks at what happens when young people are forced to face the results of their choices. At the centre of the film is Danny’s journey from being a troubled teenager towards understanding what it means to take responsibility for his life.
Danny’s mistake changes everything
