Mathare seek revenge against Bandari Queens in WNSL

The race for the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League is set to resume this Saturday, February 21, 2026, with four fixtures on the cards.
With reigning champions Police Bullets FC sitting out of action—along with the chasing pair of Ulinzi Starlets and Vihiga Queens—the onus will be on Zetech Sparks, Kibera Soccer Women, and Kayole Starlets to seize the opportunity and climb the table in Round 17 fixtures.
Sixth-placed Kibera Soccer Women will host Soccer Assassins at Marist University Grounds in Karen. The clash between these two rivals—separated by three points—will see the visitors aiming to close the gap and catch up with their opponents.
The match kicks off at 4:00 pm.
In another fixture, Zetech Sparks will welcome struggling Kisumu AllStarlets to Zetech University Grounds in Thika for a 1:00 pm kick-off.
Struggling Kisumu and Gedion Starlets
The fifth-placed side will look to climb higher, with the prospect of leapfrogging Trinity Starlets (currently fourth) adding motivation. For their part, the Kisumu-based team will seek to end their inconsistent start and hunt for a maiden league win away from home.

Fellow relegation candidates Gideon Starlets will also be at home in a tricky tie against Bungoma Queens, starting at 1:00 pm at Mawengo Polytechnic.
The league newcomers are desperately looking to climb out of the drop zone and will fancy their chances against Bungoma Queens, who have only exceeded their point haul of 16 after 14 matches this season.
Sunday fixtures
The top-league action resumes on Sunday with one clash scheduled. Kayole Starlets are eyeing a return to winning ways after their Valentine’s Day disappointment against Kibera Soccer Women. Esther Mazira’s girls suffered a 2-1 defeat to their league rivals and will be out to make amends against the bottom-placed side.
In the Women’s National Super League, Ann Aluoch’s Mathare United will host Bandari Queens. The clash will see the archrivals on a collision course, with the Slum ladies seeking to avenge a recent loss to the Dockers.
The two have emerged as early promotion favourites from the Super League Zone A after 12 rounds of play, with Mathare currently six points clear at the top
The MYSA Komarock Grounds clash will see the slum team welcome back their mercurial attacker Jerrine Adhiambo from national team duty after her exploits with the Kenya U20. The game ended in a goalless draw. This match gave the coach the chance to give minutes to the players and test out some new tactical changes.
