Kenyan clubs set for medal battles as 2026 African Women’s Volleyball Championship concludes
Kenyan women’s volleyball clubs are set for a decisive final day at the 2026 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Cairo, Egypt, with three teams scheduled to compete in key placement matches, including the tournament’s grand finale.
The Day 10 schedule, set for Thursday, April 23, 2026, presents Kenya with an opportunity to secure medals and strong continental rankings, highlighting the country’s continued dominance in African women’s club volleyball.

KPC target bronze medal finish
Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) will be the first Kenyan side in action when they face CFC in the bronze medal match scheduled for 12:00 pm at Hall 1. The clash will determine the third-place finisher, with KPC aiming to end their campaign on the podium.
The Kenyan side, knocked by local rivals KCB in the semi-finals, will be eager to bounce back strongly and secure a medal against their opponents.
DCI eye fifth-place finish
Shortly after the bronze medal match, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) will take to the court in the 5th/6th place playoff against LTV. The match is set for 1:00 pm at Hall 2.
DCI, wearing navy blue and red, will be determined to finish fifth overall and conclude their tournament with a positive result against LTV, who will feature in orange and blue sky colors.
KCB eye gold
The highlight of the day will see Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) step onto the court for the grand final at 4:00 pm in Hall 1. KCB will face Egyptian giants Al Ahly in what promises to be a thrilling contest for the championship title.

KCB, dressed in white and blue, will be chasing continental glory against the hosts, who will appear in red and black. The final represents a major milestone for the Kenyan club, which has impressed throughout the tournament to reach the championship match.
Meanwhile, with KPC contesting the bronze medal match, DCI battling for fifth place, and KCB featuring in the grand final, Kenya will have a strong presence across the final day fixtures.
