Gor Mahia down AFC Leopards to claim Mashemeji Derby bragging rights and edge closer to record title
Gor Mahia have taken a huge step towards winning the 2025/26 league title after edging arch rivals AFC Leopards 1-0 in the hotly contested Mashemeji Derby this Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Nyayo Stadium.
Alpha Onyango scored the lone goal in the 82nd minute as Charles Akonnor’s charges snatched perhaps their most crucial win of the season yet to move six points above their bitter rivals and now just within a record 22 league titles.
