Lynne Njihia appreciates Eric Omondi for supporting her as a stay-at-home mum

Model and content creator Lynne Njihia has opened up about her experience as a full-time stay-at-home mum, saying she is grateful for the opportunity to be present during her daughter’s early years.
In a series of posts shared on her page on Monday, August 24, Lynne reflected on motherhood and the choice to spend more time raising her daughter while continuing with her work as a content creator.
She said the arrangement has allowed her to experience moments she believes she would not want to miss as her daughter grows.
Lynne on being a stay-at-home mum
Lynne said becoming a full-time stay-at-home mum is a role she had always wanted to take on, especially during her daughter’s early years. She expressed appreciation for her daughter’s father, comedian Eric Omondi, for enabling her to have the flexibility to remain at home and focus on parenting.
“I’m so grateful that my daughter’s dad has enabled me to be a full-time stay-at-home mum. I’ve always wanted to be fully present for her, especially during these early years, and I never take that privilege for granted,” she said.
Lynne explained that she sees the current stage of her daughter’s life as a period that cannot be repeated. “I know these are my daughter’s childhood years, but they are also my motherhood years. I’ll never get this version of her childhood back,” she said.
She continues working
Despite choosing to spend most of her time at home, Lynne clarified that motherhood has not meant giving up her career or personal life. She said she continues to work as a paid content creator and has the flexibility to travel, meet friends and enjoy activities outside motherhood.
“I’m still a paid content creator. I still travel, see my friends and enjoy my own life. My work gives me flexibility, and I love that it doesn’t take much time away from my child,” Lynne explained.
She also acknowledged having help but said she enjoys taking an active role in raising her daughter. “I have help, and I appreciate it, but I love doing the most parenting myself. I love spending time with my daughter,” she added.
Lynne on motherhood beyond expectations
The content creator also addressed the criticism women sometimes face when they choose to make motherhood a major part of their lives. She said there should be no need for women to apologise for finding fulfilment in raising their children.
“In my daughter’s world, I’m home, safety and love,” she said.
Lynne believes the time she spends with her daughter now will help shape their relationship as she grows older. She said the bond and friendship they will share in the future are being built through the everyday moments they experience together.
Lynne and Eric’s relationship
Lynne and Eric previously made headlines over their relationship and welcomed their daughter, Mimu, after sharing the painful experience of losing their first child through a miscarriage.
The couple later separated, with Lynne confirming in April 2025 that she had decided to end the relationship. At the time, she said the decision was made with her peace, growth and future in mind.
