Manchester City facing more exits as Marmoush closes in on move to EPL rivals

Manchester City winger Omar Marmoush is set to join Tottenham Hotspur for the 2026/27 season, with the Egyptian set to complete a loan move with an obligation to buy the forward for an initial Ksh8.82 billion.
City has also struck a deal to sell midfielder Nico González to Newcastle United for Ksh9.17 billion
Marmoush is set to undergo a medical at Tottenham, who have agreed to pay up to Ksh1.76 billion in performance-related add-ons, with half of that sum—Ksh 881.7 million—guaranteed.
Next summer, the 27-year-old Egyptian international will sign a four-year contract with a one-year extension option, according to reports from the Guardian. The deal will not include a sell-on fee to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, from whom the winger joined the former English Premier League champions in 2025.
Marmoush’s potential exit comes days after Brazilian winger Sávio completes his switch from the Etihad Stadium to Tottenham.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side secured the Brazilian winger earlier this week in a deal worth Ksh13.23 plus Ksh1.76 billion in add-ons.
Fourth departure
Meanwhile, Nico González is poised to become the fourth frontline central midfielder to depart Manchester City this summer, following the exits of Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Tijjani Reijnders.
City has signed only Elliott Anderson so far for Ksh20.46 billion from Nottingham Forest, though they have agreed to a Ksh15.32 billion deal for Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi—another midfielder—and a Ksh5.99 billion fee for Palmeiras’s Allan Elias, who serves as Sávio’s replacement as a wide forward.
Savinho officially left Manchester City after agreeing to join Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent transfer.
The Brazilian winger departs the Etihad following two seasons with City, during which he made 84 appearances and found the net seven times.
City are expected to firm up their interest in Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández by making a formal bid.
Omar Marmoush’s exit comes days after the Cityzens agreed to a Ksh5.75 billion plus Ksh383 million add-on deal for Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, while the club is also in advanced negotiations to sell Nico González to Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old Elias, commonly known as Allan, made his senior debut for Palmeiras last year and has logged 96 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists. He has yet to earn his first senior cap for Brazil.
Allan’s arrival is expected to clear the way for the sale of his fellow countryman Savinho to Tottenham Hotspur in a package worth Ksh 13.23 billion plus KSh 1.76 billion in potential add-ons.
