AFC Leopards’ youth and women’s teams played out to a bag of mixed results in their respective league ties on Saturday, March 7, 2026, across the capital.

Leopards Cubs playing at the Cooperative University Grounds could not be separated from their league rivals, Karengata Youth Soccer Academy (KYSA), in a clash that ended barren.

Second

With the point earned, the Ngong-based fourth-tier side remains at seventh, while Leopards also maintains its position at second with 39 points from 18 matches, behind leaders Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) FC.

Ingwe had approached the clash riding high on a seven-goal rout of hapless Maroon Young Stars on February 28, 2026.

In Dandora, the women’s team on their part failed to capitalise on a rare chance to enhance their promotion chances after a narrow 1-0 loss to Mathare United Women.

Leopardess beaten

The Leopardess approached the clash eager to reduce a seven-point gap between them and the leaders, but proceedings proved uphill.

Following a cagey first half, Ingwe got the perfect chance to stun the leaders from the penalty spot. The striker, however, fluffed her lines from the spot.

The miss proved costly moments later after Waithera stormed the home side in the front to seal the three points.

The defeat saw Ingwe ladies remain second on the pile, with their push for promotion taking a major psychological dent

Ann Aluoch-coached side affirming their stronghold of standings atop the FKF Women’s National Super League Zone A. The promotion hopeful has maintained a fine run in the league to emerge as early promotion favourites through a splendid run of form that has seen them beat Gor Mahia Queens, Bandari, and now the Leopards women’s side.

With the men’s team, AFC Leopards, missing action after FKF Cup elimination at the round of 64 stage, the club plugged the fans with a weekend plan to rally support for the two teams.

AFC Leopards SC senior team is out of action this weekend, but on Saturday, the youth team and our ladies’ team will be playing. Turn up in large numbers at these venues and support our teams,” part of the club’s statement read on Saturday, March 6, 2026.
