City fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has shared an emotional tribute to the late grandfather of his best friend, Austin Waziri, as he mourned the loss of the family member.

In a TikTok post on Friday, August 21, 2026, Bolo shared sad photographs showing him standing beside the casket during the burial ceremony, reflecting on death, grief and the painful silence left behind when a loved one dies.

He described death as cruel, saying it takes away people who are deeply loved while leaving those who remain with memories they would give anything to relive.

“Death is so cruel. It takes away the people we love and leaves us with memories we would give anything to relive,” he wrote.

Bolo said one of the most difficult parts of losing someone was not necessarily saying goodbye, but learning to live with the emptiness their absence creates.

“Sometimes the hardest part isn’t saying goodbye, but learning to live with the silence they leave behind,” he added.

The fashion designer then turned his attention to his best friend, offering words of comfort as Austin came to terms with the loss of his grandfather.

Bolo acknowledged that no words could completely heal the pain of losing someone who was deeply loved, while asking God to give Austin the strength to endure the difficult period.

“I know no words can heal the pain of losing someone so deeply loved. May God give you strength, comfort your heart and carry you through every painful moment,” he wrote.

He also assured Austin that he would not have to navigate the period of grief alone, promising to stand with his friend and walk with him through the difficult period.

Bolo urged people to appreciate life and those around them rather than taking the future for granted.

“Please know you are not alone, my friend @Austine Waziri; we are here to walk through this pain with you. It’s true, hakuna anayejua siku yake; life can change in a moment. May we never take tomorrow for granted,” he added.

As he mourned the departed, Bolo said the memories of the deceased would remain with those who knew and loved him even after the burial.

“We will carry your memory with us until we meet again,” he wrote.

He ended the emotional tribute by acknowledging the pain of saying goodbye to someone whose absence would leave a lasting void.

“Today, we say goodbye with hearts shattered. Your absence will forever leave a void in our lives. Rest well,” Bolo wrote.
