Nyota programme

The Nyota Programme was launched by the government in 2025 as a flagship initiative to empower young Kenyans by expanding access to employment, entrepreneurship and skills development opportunities.

The programme targets youth with business ideas or existing small enterprises, helping them build sustainable livelihoods.

One of the programme’s key components is business support, which provides eligible beneficiaries with financial assistance alongside business development training and mentorship. The training equips participants with entrepreneurial, financial management and business planning skills to improve the success of their enterprises.

The Nyota Programme is part of the government’s broader efforts to empower young entrepreneurs through financial support, business training and mentorship, with the aim of promoting enterprise growth, creating employment opportunities and improving livelihoods across the country.
