Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina, popularly known as Betty Ee Sawa, has shared a light-hearted and humorous reaction after watching a recent interview featuring Rigathi Gachagua.

In a Facebook post shared on Monday, February 2, 2026, Betty said the interview unexpectedly gave her one of the most entertaining moments she has had in a long time.

Betty Maina sarcastically hails Gachagua

“Mgaala muue, haki mpe. H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, can be very interesting and very comical.

“I really enjoyed and laughed hard when listening to him,” she wrote, making it clear that her reaction was driven more by amusement than anything else.

Betty noted that Gachagua’s style of expression stood out to her, saying he has a way of speaking that easily draws in listeners.

She joked that those familiar with him can often predict his responses, including his dramatic pauses and repeated phrases.

“Then there is a way, he says, ‘Woi, woi, woi’. Those who know him can predict his answers,” she added.

According to Betty, the interview became a shared moment of laughter among friends.

She revealed that she and Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi even took time to replay and analyse parts of the conversation purely for entertainment.

Betty now wants Gachagua on TV stations

“Eric Wamumbi MP Mathira and I had a great laughing moment yesterday. I later called a few people to analyse. Normally, I don’t listen to him, but yesterday I did,” she said.

In a playful appeal, Betty encouraged the TV station that hosted the interview to invite Gachagua again, saying his storytelling and delivery make for engaging viewing.

“Do us a favour and invite him next Sunday. His banters are full of humour,” she wrote.

While the interview itself touched on serious matters, Betty’s reaction focused on the human side of public conversations and how personalities, tone, and expression can sometimes turn heavy discussions into moments of unexpected humour.

Her post resonated with many Kenyans online, with some agreeing that certain interviews become memorable not because of the issues discussed but because of how the speaker delivers their message.

“We have told the IG that before we come back on the 16th, those members of that unit need to be arrested, disarmed and prosecuted.

“After the 16th, hatutakuwa na lingine la kufanya ni kuitisha maandamano kwa Jamhuri ya Kenya until Murkomen, Kanja, two IGs are removed from office,” Gachagua said.

The post sparked laughter and light discussion, showing how public figures, beyond their roles, can still provide moments that bring people together through shared humour.
