Kenya Power lists areas to experience blackout on June 25
Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity maintenance in several counties across the country on Thursday, June 25, 2026, leading to planned power interruptions in affected areas.
According to the public notice issued on Wednesday, June 24, 2025, the outages will occur at different times depending on the area, with some locations expected to experience power interruptions between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, while others will be affected for shorter periods during the day.
The utility company said the maintenance works are aimed at improving the reliability and quality of electricity supply.
“Good evening, Kindly receive the areas scheduled for maintenance tomorrow, 25.06.2026,” Kenya Power announced.
Here are the areas set to experience a power outage.
Uasin Gishu county
The outage will start from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and will affect customers and residents of Oasis, Neema School, Blossom, Oasis Bible College, Royalton, Nandi Gaa, Kimuri and adjacent customers.
Kisii county
Areas to be affected include Igorera, Etono, Omobera, Kerongorori, Randani, Nyakoiba, Ibencho, Nyansara, Openda, Eburi, Nyamasege, Kiagware, Nyaimera, Nyansakia, Kona Yonduko and neighbouring customers from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Nyeri county
According to Kenya Power, the 9.00 am to 5.00 pm blackout will affect areas of Kid Alive, Maragima Police, Mathari and adjacent customers.

Meru county
The 8.00am to 5.00pm power interruption is expected to affect areas of Antuamarita Primary School, Ngatu Primary School, Gachuuru Market, Kiarau, St Lucy Kirigwa Church, Anjuki Factory, Mikinduri Common, Mikinduri Girls, St Benedict Primary School, and St Stephen Primary School and Church.
Uriiro Primary School, Kamarima Primary School, Amugaa, Karurune Primary School, KK Mwathe Catholic Church, Gitumbi TBC, Kwa Mukara, DCIO Mikinduri, Karurune Village, Kaliene Secondary School, Ankamia, Ametho Mikinduri, Iliene Shopping Centre, Ametho Boarding, Antuamuyaro, Antuabui TBC, Mwethe Primary School, Amuga Coffee Factory, Kaluli Market, Kithare Market, Maliolo and surrounding areas.
Laikipia county
Areas to be affected include Thome, Thome Boys Secondary School, Tigithi, Matanya, Weruini, Male, Solio Villages 1 to 7 and adjacent consumers from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Mombasa county
Additionally, the utility company stated that in Mombasa County, the interruption will start from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm and will affect customers and residents in Kilima Road, Twiga Villas Estate, Harambee Estate, Simba Estate, Salama Estate, Nyali Plaza, Ores Estate, Oshwal Academy and neighbouring customers.
Kilifi county
Areas to be affected include Marafa, KBC, Pumwani, Garashi, GIS, Shomela, Magarini, Wakala and adjacent customers from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Kwale county
The 9.00 am to 5.00 pm outage will affect areas of Mienzeni, Katundani, Gandini, Ndzovuni, Bofu, Mtaa and surrounding customers.
Kenya Power routinely carries out maintenance works on its electricity network to facilitate repairs, upgrades and system improvements.
