KCSE 2025: List of students who scored A
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba, on Friday, January 9, 2026, released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results.
While releasing the results at Eldoret State Lodge in Uasin Gishu County, CS Ogamba noted that out of 993,000 candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE exams, 1,932 candidates achieved grade A.
This marked an increase in top performers nationally in the KCSE exams compared to previous years. In the 2024 KCSE exams, 1,693 candidates scored A.
President William Ruto, who received a briefing ahead of the official release, expressed satisfaction with the performance, calling it a milestone for Kenya’s education sector.

The 2025 KCSE cohort also marks the final set of students under the 8-4-4 curriculum, which formally ended in November 2025.
