Kelvin Kinuthia: Inside his fearless feminine fashion style that turns heads

Kenyan digital content creator, influencer and cross-dresser Kelvin Kinuthia has built a unique brand around his bold and unapologetic feminine fashion style.
From elegant body-hugging dresses and stylish wigs to perfectly done makeup, manicured nails and high heels, Kinuthia has mastered the art of making a statement with every appearance.
His fashion choices have often sparked debate online, with some praising his confidence and creativity while others question his unconventional style. However, Kinuthia has remained unfazed, saying his feminine character is what many people know him for and part of the brand he has created as a content creator.

His family’s reaction
Unlike many people who would expect resistance from family, Kinuthia has repeatedly spoken about receiving support from his mother, who has embraced his fashion choices.
In a past interview, the digital content creator revealed that his mother once went shopping for herself but came across dresses she believed would look good on him and bought them for him.
“My mum is very okay. She is cool with it. I even went home the other day and found out she had bought several dresses. She had gone shopping for herself but came across the dresses and thought they would look good on me,” he said.

Kinuthia also disclosed that his love for feminine fashion started at a young age after observing his mother getting ready and admiring her sense of style.
“I used to imitate my mum and would do whatever she did as she spruced herself up. But then it came back when I discovered TikTok,” he shared.

His mother has remained one of his biggest supporters, with Kinuthia once describing her as his number one fan and saying that she even buys him dresses.
Over the years, his wardrobe has become a major part of his identity online.

Whether he is stepping out in glamorous gowns, trendy outfits or fashionable accessories, Kinuthia continues to push boundaries and challenge traditional ideas of fashion.
While his style remains controversial to some, there is no denying that Kinuthia has carved out a space for himself in Kenya’s digital entertainment scene, proving that confidence is the ultimate accessory.
