Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has revealed the dramatic effects of giving up alcohol, claiming he now looks younger and more attractive than ever.
In a video shared on his official Instagram account on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Salasya revealed that he has been drinking milk after choosing to be a teetotaller.
”Leo nimekuja kutembelea my sister. Amenipatia maziwa. Niliwacha pombe, I’m just taking milk. See how I’m even looking younger nowadays, I’m looking so sexy, so good,” Salasya said.

Salasya on teetotalism
This comes after the youthful parliamentarian listed a group of people who need to quit drinking alcohol.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, he disclosed his intentions to have moral lessons with those who drink excessively and often behave recklessly due to alcohol intoxication.
According to Salasya, an alcoholic lifestyle is dangerous to those who cannot control it.
“An alcoholic life is very bad if you can’t manage it. I will be having lessons with all careless drunkards going forward, hasawa sana wale ambao wakilewa hata kuoga inakuwa shida,” Salasya said.
n addition, the youthful lawmaker went on to list the group of people whom he thinks should practice sobriety.
According to Salasya, people who become violent after drinking, those who forget about their development and future, and those who black out after getting drunk should quit drinking alcohol.
“If you can drink and still balance between work and family, you can continue; if you know the moment you get drunk, you fight, you become a useless idiot, and you become violent, please stop.

If you know the moment you get drunk, wanakuibia kila kitu, please stop. If you know that when you get drunk you forget about your own development and your tomorrow, please stop.
However, Salasya also encouraged those who can control themselves to continue drinking.
Alcoholics
Earlier, the MP suggested that weed smokers are generally peaceful compared to alcohol drinkers, whom he described as rowdy and unruly.
In a statement on his Instagram account, the lawmaker went as far as to propose legalising marijuana while banning alcohol altogether.
“People who take weed do not cause more problems than those taking alcohol. Weed can be legalised, but alcohol can be banned. Watu wanakunywa pombe hupenda kelele sana than wa bangi,” Salasya said.
“If you are out there and you know you are someone who cannot control alcohol, avoid it because alcohol can destroy your life. Some people take alcohol; they go to joints very early in the name of ‘kutoa lock.
“I want to join the government to ensure that the illicit alcohol outlets selling during the day are all shut and owners arrested,” Salasya said.
