Social media personality Marion Naipei has called on Kenyans to take advantage of a voter registration initiative linked to Salvation Healing Ministry, encouraging those without identification documents and voter cards to seek assistance as part of a civic mobilisation drive.

Speaking while addressing congregants at Salvation Healing Ministry on Friday, April 10, 2026, Marion said she was present to represent Victor Kanyari and promote efforts aimed at increasing voter registration across the country.

She urged eligible citizens who have not yet registered as voters to do so, noting that the initiative is intended to support broader civic participation.

“We are at Salvation Healing Ministry and we are here to represent Pastor Kanyari. All those who have not registered as voters should do,” she said.

She highlighted that the programme, branded under the hashtag “#nikokadiinitiative,” is focused on helping individuals obtain necessary identification documents as well as voter registration cards.

According to her, the ministry is actively assisting people who do not have IDs, making it easier for them to complete the registration process.

“So to push this #NikoKadi initiative. Pastor Kanyari is helping those who do not have IDs to get them and also assisting them to get their voter cards,” Naipei stated.

Marion further stated that she personally benefited from the initiative, saying she was already a registered voter through the assistance provided by Pastor Kanyari’s programme.

She used her experience to encourage others to follow suit and ensure they are fully registered ahead of future electoral processes.

She continued to urge congregants and Kenyans at large to prioritise securing their voter cards, emphasizing that participation in civic processes is important and accessible through the support being offered at the ministry.

“Are you all registered as voters? Because I am already a registered voter thanks to Pastor Kanyari. I would also urge you to prioritise getting your voter card through Kanyari’s programme,” she added.

Struggle with alcoholism

The appeal comes just days after Kanyari expressed concern over Naipei’s continued consumption of alcohol, despite having ordained her to handle key duties within his church.

Speaking during his Sunday, March 29, 2026, service, Kanyari noted that guiding some individuals toward change can be particularly challenging.

“With Marion Naipei, I feel like trying to tame a wild animal is always challenging,” he said.

He revealed that Naipei had consumed alcohol throughout the previous night, yet was expected to be present at church early on Sunday.

Kanyari described how she would eventually arrive late and dramatically enter the service, drawing attention from the congregation.

“Marion Naipei was drinking alcohol the whole night yesterday, and she should be in church here, but she has yet to arrive. You will see her arriving late and entering the church dramatically,” he added.

The pastor highlighted that he has repeatedly encouraged Naipei to stop drinking, but her actions continue to contradict her assurances.

He observed indications that she had recently consumed alcohol, despite claiming to have quit, which he said demonstrates the difficulty of changing certain habits.

Kanyari compared the challenge of guiding Naipei to taming a wild animal, acknowledging that while he feels called to help individuals transform, some cases require more patience and persistence than others.

“She drank alcohol the whole of yesterday, Saturday, and I have been telling her to stop, but she tells me she has stopped, yet you can see her wiping her lips after drinking,” the preacher said.

Despite these setbacks, he reaffirmed his commitment to continue mentoring Naipei, emphasising that his efforts to guide her toward positive change would persist, even though the process is not easy.

He stressed that while some people may be particularly hard to influence, his dedication to helping individuals grow spiritually and morally remains unwavering.

“Now I feel that even if God called me to change people, surely for some individuals it will be hard to change. But I will keep trying, though it is not easy,” Kanyari said.
