Mkamburi Chigogo urges women to embrace multiple sources of income

Mkamburi Chigogo has urged women to embrace multiple sources of income, saying relying on one stream is no longer enough.
Speaking in a video on Instagram on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, she encouraged women to think beyond the idea of a soft life without effort and focus on financial stability through several income options.
“Lakini, I would encourage any woman out there, kuwa na multiple sources of income,” she said.
Mkamburi questioned where the soft life people talk about actually comes from, stressing that money does not appear without consistent effort.
Mkamburi added that having more than one source of income helps women stay financially secure.

“Kitu nataka niambie …hiyo soft life inatoka wapi?” she asked, pointing out that comfort comes from steady financial planning and action.
She noted that not everyone can manage several income streams, but those who can should try.
“Lakini kama unaweza, have multiple sources of income,” she said, adding that such efforts help people stay afloat in tough economic times.
Embracing financial independence
Mkamburi, who refers to herself as a soft life ambassador, has previously spoken about her commitment to women’s financial well-being. In an earlier video, she said she had made it her duty to ensure that 2026 becomes a year when women do not struggle with money matters.
She explained that her message is not about pressure but encouragement.

“Lakini, I will encourage any woman out there, kuwa na multiple sources,” she said, making it clear that the choice depends on individual ability and circumstances.
Mkamburi also admitted that managing several income streams is not easy for everyone.
“Mimi siwezi,” she said honestly, acknowledging that some women may face challenges balancing different responsibilities and opportunities.
Still, she maintained that the idea remains important for those who are able.
“Lakini kama unaweza, multiple sources of income, ndio zinatuweka mjini,” she said, stressing that extra income streams help people remain stable and relevant.
Mkamburi has consistently encouraged women to rethink how they approach income and to consider practical ways of improving their financial position.
