Mesh of Wapendwa Muziki reveals he was dating Ninah’s cousin before settling with her
Mesh, one half of gospel duo Wapendwa Muziki, has opened up about his relationship journey before meeting his current partner, Ninah.

“When I met Nina, I knew hapa, I only have one chance,” Mesh said.
“Juu hata that time hakua anataka story zangu. So I have to act differently, change my life and all that,” he added.
He explained that the two met at church in Kawangware and quickly started becoming friends.
Mesh added that his previous relationship complicated things.
“At that time, I was dating her cousin. Akaanza kuniambia huyo cousin yangu na mjua. Ataanza kukupenda sana. Msikae sana pamoja. So nikajua hataki. So Nina alinikatia juu aliona namtaka. After that, I went and dumped my then-girlfriend immediately,” he said, describing the moment he realised he had to make a change.

The gospel artist also spoke about his commitment to Nina and how he approached their relationship differently. He said he was serious from the start and had to adjust his life to align with the values he wanted to show her.
“We met in church in Kawangware, started as friends,” Mesh explained.

“Yes. 8 years of dating. So I used to have weird friends,” Mesh said when asked about the period of celibacy he observed.
