Through a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Karangu disclosed that the illness of his brother, Paul Muraya, has been his biggest struggle since February 2025.
“If there’s something that has been giving me stress is the illness of my brother Paul Muraya,” Karangu wrote.
He explained that the family’s pain began after Paul was involved in a road accident in February 2025, an incident that marked the start of a long and difficult medical journey.
Painful family battle
Karangu stated that since the accident, his brother’s health has been unstable, forcing him to move in and out of hospital as doctors try to manage the situation.
“Since the day that he was involved in Road accident last year February, it has not been an easy journey…he has been in and out of hospital,” he added.
The singer further revealed that the situation worsened again in December 2025 when Paul reportedly fell sick and was admitted to hospital once more.
“In the beginning of December, my brother fell sick again and he was admitted in hospital where he has been todate,” Karangu said.

In the emotional message, Karangu appealed to friends and supporters to keep Paul in prayers, saying the family is still holding on to hope for his full recovery.
“Please friend, pray for his recovery and God will bless you,” he pleaded.
